The Atelier

The atelier.

A small workshop of coachbuilders, trimmers and finishers, working on one car at a time.

Philosophy

Fewer cars, each one finished.

We would rather build fewer cars than build any of them quickly. Bodies are shaped over an English wheel, panels are fitted by eye and hand, and the person who starts a car is the person who finishes it.

Principles

Our principles.

i

One hand per body

The panel-beater who forms a body stays with it through fitting and final polish.

ii

Touch before you choose

Every material is chosen from a physical sample, in daylight and at dusk.

iii

Finished, not frozen

We would rather refine a detail than announce a date. Your car is ready when it is right.
